You should not update the child-theme, it is not necessary.
First of all, you must understand that the child-theme is a sub-theme of the main-theme, allowing users to customize the code without being affected when the main theme updates.
That is, your custom code in the child-theme ensures that you do not lose it when you update the main-theme.
You only need to update the main-theme when there is a new version, and the versions in the child-theme are managed by you and do not depend on the main-theme.
