strange login form issue

after creating an account successfully, then log off and if you re login,
1. it forwards you to home page insted of dashboard.

2. if you try to login again from above home page, login form not responsive. submit not working.

to product this senario:
-just register an account,
-then verify the email id using verification email.
-now your in dashboard. from there you log off.
– now try to login. if u login successfuly, you will land in home page insted of going to dashboard.
– now if you try to login again login form will not respond to submit button click.

kingly help us fix this.
