    My main theme is up to date, but I don’t know where I update the child theme. A message is appearing in the admin asking to update the child theme

    Hi,

    Child-theme is an editing part that you manage, you can customize the version for the child-theme and it does not depend on the main-theme.
    You should not update the child-theme because the customizations will be lost when you update the child-theme.
