First I’d like to state that I did not touch any setting or page until I read your confirmation.

Editing via Elementor does not work (error message that the “single post is missing”) UNLESS I view the page first and then click “edit with elementor” and choose “single post”. That works.

But……….every tour contains the same information, except for the images. Even when I open any of the pre-installed tours.

When I create a new tour and edit it in Elementor to add fields, the fields are already there, with exactly the same content as the other tours. It should be empty.

When I change the content of any tour, this will immediately change the content of all other tours. Therefore I cannot even create two tours with different content.

That, and the fact that all pages suddenly have a black background, made me stop working on the site. I am getting nowhere.

I have changed nothing and yet there is something wrong. I am at the point of giving up on this theme.

Despite your help, I think I have reached the point that this theme is unusable for what I want. You said you activated the Elementor plugin, yet I keep having the same problems.

You sent a screenshot of the status of the plugin. It says “active”. When I go there it says “missing”.

If I want to edit a tour in Elementor while clicking on that in the list with tours there is the message that the post contents widget is missing.

The only way not to see the error message is to open a tour via “view”, then at the top of the screen click “edit with Elementor” and then choose “single post” in the drop down menu. But then it opens with a different tour, not where I was when I clicked “single post”. All four tours only lead to one tour in particular. And then I cannot edit text. In the body the text is there, but on the left the tools to edit are missing.

I really want this to work, but after spending a lot of time on it I have lost hope. The demo works on Elementor Pro and the pro version is the key here. So if Pro does not work, the website will not work the way it should.

What I don’t understand is that all reviews are excellent. I surely can’t be the only one who has faced these problems???

I got the same problem again with the same error message: “The Post Content Widget was not found in your template”

Then I followed instructions on installing the external plugin. I added the code to the functions.php file (of the theme – not the child theme) and I got this error message:

Your PHP code changes were rolled back due to an error on line 73 of file wp-content/themes/triply/functions.php. Please fix and try saving again.

The line is “ElementorPro\License\API::set_license_data($data, ‘+2 years’);”

Despite the warning I updated the file, then deleted the code and saw most Elementor widgets were missing. So it is definitely not working and now I lost my layout.

    What’s next?

    Hello,

Thanks a lot, I can work on the pages again, with Elementor. But unlike before, many features are now locked, When I have time I will look into your guide.

May I ask what you fixed, just in case it happens again?

The thing is that I have a more professional email account and that one I cannot set up in the theme without paying, as it is via outlook.office.com. And I am not interested in buying all kinds of plugins to make the theme work as it does in the demo.

With other themes it is easy to just enter the email account and then everything works.

Questions keep coming. Via a simple sample page I made a booking, yet from the business side I don’t receive an email about a new booking and from the customer’s side I don’t receive a confirmation email.
I read (https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-set-up-wp-mail-smtp-with-any-host-ultimate-guide/) that I must install SMTP email. When I go there I cannot choose my own preferred system (the online version of Outlook) as it is not free and I am not interested in buying even more addons.

Surely there must be just a simple setting where I can change it? I have installed many WP websites and never before this was a problem.
